4th Generation Protocols (4G):

What is it?

4G is the fourth generation of wireless mobile telecommunications technology, it is the upgrade of 3G. The 4G system provides capabilities that are defined by ITU in IMT Advanced. These are the potential and current applications that include amended mobile web access, IP telephony, gaming services, high-definition mobile TV, video conferencing and 3D television.


How does it work?

It gets the signal from a satellite.


How does it compare to 3G Multimedia service?

4G is the next upgrade from 3G which means that it is a faster working network service. 3G was developed in the late 1990s so the data speed is going to be significantly slower whereas 4G was developed in the 2010s so the data speed id going to be up to ten times faster.
